Singing Lessons

Arati George has been guiding and supporting singing students of all ages in the Bega Valley for the last 28 years. She is vastly experienced in bringing her students to their highest potential effectively and efficiently. Her own knowledge and skills are based in Opera/Classical training with welsh Opera Singer, Joan Dargavel. These skills were further developed with decades of experience in a very wide range of genres, including rock, folk, jazz, and world music.

With loving support, Arati helps students develop excellent vocal control to:

increase clarity of tone, precision of pitch, and dynamic control and strength;

increase vocal range and diversity of style;

improve musicality (understanding of timing, meter and congruence)

But most of all, lessons are fun, playful, and students get to sing songs of their choice. She provides many opportunities to perform. With Arati, students experience profound improvement of their singing.

Guitar Lessons

Arati is a highly competent rhythm guitarist and has been teaching guitar since she began playing at 10 years old. She can teach you to play chords, rhythms, and embellishments.

If you want to learn both singing and guitar, it is best to concentrate on one at a time until basic skills are learnt. Lessons can be alternated, learning guitar one week and singing the next, and with highly skilled students they can be combined.
